About Us
The Saint John Outlaws got started in the 2001 Season in the Saint John Men's Touch Football League (SJMTFL) here in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. Tawn Stephenson was the organizer of the team that initially had 26 Players on the Roster. After some refining, it was narrowed down to just 11 Players. At the end of the 2010 season, only 4 out of the 11 players remain: Nathan Gionet, Darren Lavigne, Tawn Stephenson and Josh Wells The team won the "B" Championship title back to back (2002-03) which was the first time in the League since the 1997-98 Trojans. Then in 2004 came a new sponsor (Chang Yong Tae Kwon Do), Jerseys and the first victory against the Raiders which was in the "A" Championship. In 2010, the Saint John Outlaws expanded into the Southern New Brunswick Touch Football League (SNBTFL) in Rothesay, New Brunswick. Our inaugural season in the SNBTFL ended well as we won the Championship Title. Also, 2010 marked the 10th season in the SJMTFL which shows how fast time really flies. Now, after 10 years playing... do we have another 10... who knows, I guess that's why we play to game? To see how far we can go... SJMTFL
